Sweety Hassan Somashekar
Structural engineering postgraduate from University of Leeds, UK, with more than ten years of international expertise in the design of deep foundations and engineering of industrial, residential, and commercial constructions. She has collaborated with contractors and consultants all across the world, enabling her to create bespoke, optimised solutions. In recognition of her skills in structural engineering and management, Sweety has received a charter-ship from the Institute of Engineers, India. She has been crucial in enabling StructCAD to take on any challenging projects with ease and the confidence to offer workable and inexpensive design solutions. Her primary strength is her goal-oriented approach and constant efforts to accomplish deadlines without fail.
Sweety has extensive expertise in the UK market, having executed industrial steel projects with large steel contractors in the Northern UK, as well as residential steel, masonry, and timber projects with engineering consultants in the Midlands. Some of her projects include long span PEB builds for ALDI, TESCO, and major supermarket operators, as well as playing a key part in designing conceptual designs for residential builds in Canary Wharf, London. She has also collaborated with prominent foundation contractors in Dubai to develop deep foundations, shoring, and earth retaining structures for prestigious projects such as the Al Bateen resort extension, Al Raha beach resort, and the Palm Jumeirah extension in the UAE.
She intends to develop StructCAD a Multidisciplinary, Vertically Integrated One Stop Solution for Construction Industry across the Globe with her exceptional Communication, Management, and Analytical talents.
In addition to being a fitness enthusiast and a voracious reader, Sweety likes to paint and play Badminton with her friends. She is an enthusiastic volunteer who enjoys spending a lot of time helping stray animals. She thinks that lack of vaccination and sterilization are the two biggest obstacles to the protection of stray animals. She has been instrumental in raising awareness and organizing free vaccination and sterilization efforts to safeguard hundreds of stray animals from dangerous diseases like rabies and distemper. She also strongly supports the adoption of stray animals.
Sweety aspires to achieve by emphasizing quality over quantity, working hard to avoid falling victim to gender stereotypes, and remaining appreciative, compassionate, and upbeat.
